Children from y3-5 took part in a Maypole dance on the Netham as part of a community dance project. After, they took part in Art activities.
Every Christmas the Reception classes, in pairs, put on a Nativity. This is where we find the true spirit of Christmas.
Year 6 produce a play in term 6, and that varies in type from year to year.
Once a year we give the children a real treat, and have The Storybox Theatre in school for 3 shows. Rod Burnett is a master storyteller and puppeteer and that is always a highlight for the children…..and staff!
2012 Reception Nativity
We had a party to celebrate the opening of our fabulous new classrooms and buildings. Take a look at the pictures – we had a great time!
We did a special whole-school maths lesson on Friday 14th June based around a giant’s party. All classes did the lesson at the same time, and the children all took part in helping the giant ‘prepare’ his party. Year groups and classes had great fun exploring different maths problems such as using ratio and scaling up to work out the size of the giant, his plate and cutlery, and table and chairs. Most of the pictures are of the display boards that are up around the school at the moment, which show the fantastic work from the giant party lesson. There are also a couple of pictures at the end of a giant chair, which was one of the things Year 6 produced. It can be seen in our reception area.
