If any parents or carers have any e-safety concerns that they would like to share with us, or information they would like to communicate to us, you can do so by using the school’s online-safety email address: e-safety@abhps.com

As part of our ongoing online-safety program we want to share with Parents and Carers a really useful website.

The NSPCC Netaware website has useful and specific information on Social Media and insight including things that you can do to keep your child safe online.

The website link is: www.net-aware.org.uk. Here you can also sign up to receive regular website updates.

www.brainpop.co.uk/blog/2014/10/look-both-ways-before-crossing-the-digital-road​ – Child friendly advice

www.commonsensemedia.org –  an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization providing information on media and technology. The website will give you reviews and recommendations on games, films and apps that your child might be watching or playing. It will give you recommendations on age and content and tell you if it is suitable for children.

www.thinkuknow.co.uk the main Government website with advice for parents on how to keep children safe online. This website also includes an age specific children’s section which is well worth looking at for fun!

www.ceop.police.uk the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) is the Government body dedicated to eradicating abuse of children. Concerns about inappropriate contacts between a child and an adult including online, can be reported directly to CEOP.

www.childnet-int.org has information for parents which is written in a variety of different languages.

https://www.lifecake.com/family-internet-safety-privacy/ This guide gives parents and carers plenty of helpful information about internet safety including Practical advice about privacy and security settings when using popular apps like Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and WhatsApp to ensure safe usage for children.
