KS2 Teachers

We are looking for excellent KS2 class teachers to join our school in September 2019. 

We currently have three posts available, two of which are fixed term for one year pending a review of the staffing structure.

The third position is a maternity cover position to cover the maternity leave of a member of staff.  This is fixed term for one year, or earlier depending on the date of return of the current postholder.

Air Balloon Hill Primary is a large successful school in East Bristol.  In April 2019 we were judged ‘good’ by Ofsted.  Our school is one of Bristol’s largest, with four classes in every year group and dedicated staff who work hard to ensure that every child reaches their potential.  The school is very popular due to its caring and supportive ethos, and our vision which is ‘We look to the Stars…’

EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER (maternity cover)

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

We are looking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner to cover the maternity leave of the current post holder starting on the 1st June 2019 until 31st May 2020 (or the post holder’s return if earlier)

The hours of work are 8.30am – 4pm, 3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday), term time only with the requirement to work on two of the school’s inset days. 

Ideally you will have experience of working with children in a reception class environment. 

The candidate will require appropriate qualifications to support learning, including GCSE (or an equivalent qualification) in English and Maths at grade C or above.

The post holder must also hold an NNEB qualification (or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification in a relevant field).

The post attracts a salary on the Bristol Grade 8 pay scale (currently £22,021 – £23,836 pro rata)

Bank Cleaners

We are looking to recruit bank cleaners to cover staff absence as and when needed.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as members of our Site Team ensuring that our school premises are kept clean and tidy providing a safe environment for our children to develop and learn.

The successful candidates will work under the guidance of the Site Manager and will receive all relevant training.  Duties include ensuring all toilet areas are clean and hygienic, classrooms are clean and tidy and halls, corridors and other areas provide a safe, clean and welcoming environment. 

Hours of work:  3.30pm – 5.30pm Monday-Friday

Salary to be paid on the Bristol Grade 2 Scale £9.00 per hour
