ABCC Visitors

Every term each year group experiences a WOW! event to launch their new topic in the cycle of the ABCC (Air Balloon Creative Curriculum).

This may be a trip out to somewhere like Caldicott Castle, Bristol Museum, Sevington Victorian School etc. However the WOW! event may entail someone visiting the school. We have had people coming dressed as pirates, Vikings and Tudors amongst many others. The children have made Viking long boats, shields, pomanders to ward off the plague and experienced many wonderful and inspiring things.

Often these visits result in a shared experience with the parents such as a performance of Indian drumming at the end of the school day.

Many other visitors come to school.  We annually support a children’s charity such as NSPCC or Barnardos. We are fortunate to have guide dogs visit us and most importantly members of our community who come in to enhance the children’s experiences and learning.

Year 1 – RNLI come to talk about Life boats as part of Grace Darling topic
