Support continues throughout the holidays for families struggling from the impact of Coronavirus and for other families in need of support. Here are some of the services available:

Our Family Support Worker Louise would normally distribute vouchers to families in need but during the holidays you can contact:
Bristol City Council hold vouchers for our Foodbank and can verify your circumstances and email us. If needed, they’ll issue you with a voucher so you can get an emergency food parcel from your local foodbank, a voucher the same day even if you have already had an emergency payment within the last 12 months. You can call them on 0117 922 4500 Monday to Friday 9am to 12 Noon
S Glos Welfare Grant can be called on 01454 868899 from 8.45am to 2pm and can directly refer to us for deliveries of food parcels to your home after they verify your situation.

If you are in financial crisis, please call 0808 2082138 for free (open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) to talk confidentially with a trained Citizens Advice adviser. They can help address your crises and provide support to maximise your income, help you navigate the benefits system, and identify any additional grants you could be entitled to.
Free school meal vouchers –families already in receipt of the Free School Meals vouchers will continue to receive them from us during holidays.
Bristol Community Meals – a community meals team is providing hot, ready to eat, nutritious meals to over 300 people a day, 7 days a week. This includes a wellbeing check, supporting people’s welfare, information can be found here: https://www.bristol.gov.uk/social-care-health/bristol-community-meals
Food clubs – these are based largely at children’s centres providing meals to families. There are currently 16 operating in Bristol. Our nearest one is based at Speedwell Nursery.
The national Food Service – can provide pre-prepared meals to people who need them around the city. If you’d like to refer yourself or someone you know. They also have a link to refer yourself to receive a crisis care package
